Look a bit closer .....

Ah huh!

Will you please be careful crossing the road!

Hehehehe! At least the poor field mouse/vole/shrew had some respite!

  1. This is the most amazing blog post you've posted in ages, not because of the content itself, but because you can't write images like that; they only happen once!

    Amazing! Good effort :-)

Hilarity in the captions too! x

  2. Thanks David!! :)

Sadly, as my heart was in my mouth, I didn't get him trundling across the road!! :( He was actually meowing all the way from the field! He was really complaining. It was so funny x

  7. Austin !!! I used to do same thing as you !!! and mom was about to have heart attack , every times I had done that ! But I didn't do it anymore, Because the land opposite my house had been developed, No more jungle there, so I don't do anymore ! You watch out , Austin !

  8. Austin is always tempted over there this time of year, as the sheep are removed from the field, so he has a free reign! I don't like it at all, though the road isn't that busy.

  9. Good boy Austin for listening but please look both ways before crossing. Our Merlin got hit many ears ago on a very quiet road and luckily only suffered a broken clavicle. When I blog about our cats going outdoors it creates a stink from the radical indoor only cat people. More about that at our Cat Saturday tomorrow.

  10. Thanks for the warning Layla. As Austin spent a lot of time on the street before coming to me, I know he wouldn't take kindly to being shut in now!

  14. Oh my catness Austin! You get back home right this minute! I know the tempatations are irresistable and sometimes wandering can be further than you thought, but please be careful cuz we love you so much!

Picturing him meow grumbling and complaining is so funny!!

  16. Oh my gosh, what a great post! I especially loved the caption "mutter mutter mutter" LOL LOL. I can imagine it was scary to have Austin across the road like that, but so glad it all turned out okay and you can laugh about it now.

Austin is such a gorgeous cat, and I also love your cat Tigger. I had a striped tabby named Tigger for 12 great years, it really made me smile to see another Tigger tabby. :)

  17. Hi! Thanks for the visit and comment! Yes, Mike and I spent 18 days in Cornwall in 2000, went to the Furry Dance and many of the towns my cats are named after. Here's a link to a photo of kitties I took in St Ives

  18. LOL! I think cats are always muttering about something!

I am so jealous of your view! No wonder Austin was wandering!

  19. Austin, that was too cute, you complaining all the way home. But you really do need to stay closer to home. Our Mom would be so worried about you. I bet your Mom worries about you too. Great pictures. Take care.
