If you can't stand the heat .....

...... move to the Antarctic!

Cat! It's a tad warm and very humid, which we are not used to it here in Welsh Wales. The temperature reached something like 38C (100F) in the conservatory, about 32C (90F) in the summerhouse - with all the doors and windows open -  and 27C (80F) outside (and we live on the coast!). 

Ok I can hear you folk who live in hot climes say "Phhffffttt, that's nothing!" But to us who are used to more temperate weather, it's a scorcher. So much so, that I didn't even have the energy to fight Tigger for the biggest shady bit!

Tigger is a shade hog if truth be known and as he is the size of an elephant I'm not going to fight him. I don't mind getting my little white footsies sunburnt really I don't!

In this seemingly adequate space of about 7ft x 5ft there are three chairs (plus three folded), one small table, one large gas heater, one bean bag foot rest and rug, one bucket, several assorted gardening implements and one relaxed peep reading newspaper.

Ten minutes later there are three chairs (plus three folded), one small table, one large gas heater, one bean bag foot rest and rug, one bucket, several assorted gardening implements, three peeps, three coffees, two cats and one discarded newspaper.

Today we would like to wish

Happy 4th July to all our American friends :)

We are celebrating at Cat Scouts by having a parade and here I am with some of my patrol - Wally's Warriors - in our float which was built by Timmy and Einstein. Isn't it great! Good job guys! :)  I am wearing my very best bow tie for the occasion. Even though we don't exactly celebrate independence day here in the UK, we don't hold a grudge (much) and we shall let bygones be bygones MOL ;)
