Meet Zsa Zsa at Cats Protection!

Isn't she beautiful!

Now before you all rush to social media and announce that Austin's found true love at last, let me just say this. Yes she is beautiful, but no, we are not snuggling together and playing happy families at Chez Towers - "More's the pity" says The Staff!!

No! We decided a while ago to sponsor a kitty through Cats Protection UK and this is the one :) She is a one year old mum (as you can see) who was abandoned by her owners when they were evicted. 

Cats Protection is a charity that does exactly that. It protects cats!! Here is what they say about themselves:

From humble beginnings in 1927, Cats Protection has grown to become the UK's leading feline welfare charity. We now help around 200,000 cats and kittens every year through our network of over 250 volunteer-run branches, 29 adoption centres and two homing centres.
Our work doesn’t stop there, however: we also provide an array of cat care information via our publications, website and helpline; promote the benefits of neutering to prevent unwanted litters from being born and becoming the abandoned cats of tomorrow and seek to educate people of all ages about cats and their care.

At the moment, they have well over 6000 cats and kittens needing homes, so we are doing our little bit to get the word out and support in any way we can.

Sponsoring at Cats Protection means you actually help pay for a pen not the cat, which makes sense as cats will move on as they find their forever homes. Zsa Zsa is still receiving treatment and looking after her kittens, so will not move out for a little while. You can read more about her here.

One of the most important initiatives Cats Protection promote is TNR. Neutering is very high on their agenda and this makes us happy - well after the initial "ouch" of course!  Kitties like Zsa Zsa are indeed very thankful!

After the scathing purrfurmance review and subsequent events it was decided it was necessary to bring in the arbitration service T.I.G.G.E.R. to try and resolve the ongoing conflict between CAT and TAT.

T.I.G.G.E.R. - Tabbies International, Gripe Grappling & Effecting Resolution - has undertaken the task of conciliation between the parties with great vigour and determination and sent their most dediCATed envoy to oversee the settlement negotiations.

He is taking his duties very seriously indeed!

Revenge IS sweet!

Hi, it's me here :) The Staff, erstwhile The Affiliate Typist, currently known as Skivvy!

Austin is now fifteen hours into his twenty hour post-prandial nap, so I have taken the opportunity to break into his blog and have my say! BTW Austin, choosing "Tiggerstinks" as your password was not your best idea!

So, you might have read about the drubbing I received in my purrfurmance review yesterday!  Many commenters said they thought he was a bit harsh. To be honest I think the whole NUCAT thing has gone to his head!! He actually struts! Oh yes he does! He is a strutter! And a strutting tuxie is not a pretty sight!

Anyway, I felt the tuxie terror needed teaching a bit of a lesson. So, later on that day ........

Hehehe!! So much for the "patiently opening and closing of doors and windows"!

 Ok, so it wasn't exactly raining!

There's an old Welsh proverb which roughly translated says:

"A strutting tuxie baring fang outside window,

Will not be receiving kibble and succour anytime soon."

Quantity of Output:  Has your purrson posted to your blog daily to give you maximum exposure worldwide and make you famous? Does she ‘eck!!!??

Quality of Output:  Are you, as snoopervisor, satisfied with your purrson’s choice of photos, words, creativity, imagination, truth, fun and general interest in your postings? She tries very hard. In fact I've never met anyone who is more trying! 

Client Pawticipation:  Does your purrson provide sufficient ways for your fans to contact you and for you to contact them? I believe there are enough buttons on the sidebar to keep everyone popping, but not, I expect, if you are a koumpounophobe!*

Pawticipation (Part II):  Does your purrson allow you to take part in fun blog-world special events, pawties, contests, and more? What special events .... ????

Client Satisfaction:  Are your friends purringly contented with what they see and read on your blog? Not sure if they are content, but we do get lovely comments :)

Overall rating and comments and suggestions for improvement (in your own words):

What can I say? I am somewhat disappointed, but I also find myself in a conundrum!  TAT is deficient in many areas, BUT and it is a big BUT, she does feed me and pander to my every whim. She does allow me to lie on her legs until she loses all feeling and they practically drop off. When I want to go out she very patiently opens EVERY door and window several times in order to prove to me that it rains equally outside EVERY door and window!

She brushes me on demand and tickles my belleh, which I love. She talks to me like I'm a human and doesn't use that silly high pitched voice with baby words like I'm an idiot .... well, not much!

SO, on the whole I can't complain. BUT when it comes to the actual blogging thing, she is quite stubborn and displays selective deafness over my whining gently requesting more frequent and regular postings. There is considerable room for improvement in that area!

Consequently, and after much consideration, I am demoting her from Affiliate Typist to Skivvy, effective immediately. After all, it is a role to which she is more suited! She has 30 days to contest that decision and then I will advertise for a more qualified human. Keep a look out for the advert in future editions of The Towers Times!
