This picture from Associated Press shows a lady called Kay James sitting in her driveway cuddling her cat in a towel after her house was destroyed by the tornado in Moore, Oklahoma yesterday! I just found it very poignant and so sad!
All our thoughts and prayers are with the people affected in this terrible devastation!
⟺
We purr for all those affected by the terrible storm.
ReplyDeleteDang. Poignant is the word. It's just tragic, what an insane mess.

"Resident Rachel Hilton holds stray kittens she found in the debris of her parent's home."
Small consolations, but I bet the residents of Moore in particular, are clinging to every bit of hope and smile they can.
Haven't seen too many pictures of this yet... how sad. :( Glad these two are safe and with each other at least.
ReplyDeleteWe are so sorry for all those people and animals who are now homeless after that tornado and can't imagine how dreadful they feel after everything has been destroyed. We pray that they will get help to put their lives together again and rebuild their homes.

ReplyDeleteIt's a very sad situation down there in OK, USA. OK isn't OK. This picture could've been taken after Sandy. Those poor anipals.
ReplyDeleteI am purring a lot for all the humans and animals impacted by this awful tornado.
ReplyDeleteWe are saving prayers for all of those impacted and harmed by that destruction in OK yesterday. What a bittersweet picture. WE are glad that her kitty is safe and with her.
ReplyDeleteIt's really hard to even fathom that much devastation. So very sad.
ReplyDeleteOskar
There are so many sad stories attached to this tornado. Our mommy just sat down and cried when she read about the children that died in the school.
ReplyDelete:(
ReplyDeleteI just hope everyone will be ok!!!
Hope that lady and cat will have a good home soon!
It's so sad!!
ReplyDeleteThat is sad, but it makes me feel better that she has her kitty. We got all leaky-eyed watching a TV interview with a lady whose house was just destroyed and during the interview her little doggy poked his head out of the rubble and they were reunited. I guess we are trying to focus on some of the little good stories in the midst of all the losses. Purring for all of the Peeps and animals in trying to survive this.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, that's is just unbelievable, how heart-breaking but thank God they are with each other. Our prayers go out to all those affected.
ReplyDeleteThat is so sad, brought a tear to my eye.. How do these people ever get their lives back together, they have lost children, families and their homes..So tragic.. xx00xx
ReplyDeleteMollie and Alfie
Their faces says it all :-( xxx
ReplyDeleteYou just can't imagine it can you?! Have you seen the lovely video of the woman who discovers her puppy survived while being filled for a news interview - it is so lovely!
ReplyDeleteOh Austin it was a most awful and terrible thing that happened to all those people....we feel so sad for everyone who lost a friend, family member, home, animal - so much loss is hard to bear. This photo makes me extra sad but I'm glad the lady and her cat have each other.....
ReplyDeleteKitty Hugs, Sammy
It's very sad, it must be awful to be caught up in it. But it's lovely to see her and her cat together, there have been other lovely stories of people being reunited with their beloved pets.
ReplyDeleteMoore, Oklahoma is going to need every prayer we can send them. This picture is sad but I am so happy this lady and her ginger kitty are alive and have each other. I can't help but wonder if she is sitting on her driveway where her house once stood. I am thinking that is the case, it is hard to tell with everything tossed around by the tornado.
ReplyDeleteAt least Ms. James has her baby, safe & sound. That's reason for happiness. But, yes, it's a mess there and I feel SO sorry for those folks ... I'd sooner face a hurricane ANY day than one of those funnel clouds. I hope I never see one outside a TV screen.
ReplyDeleteSelina's MomKatt
Wes agrees! This is a horrible event for them. Me has been including them in our prayers!
ReplyDeleteKisses
