The Cold Shoulder! |
I am going to let Austin tell his side of it next time, but I think the pictures pretty well tell the story! The cryo-surgery went really well. His mouth is now minus lesions AND he still has his teeth! The vet was really pleased with the outcome and he didn't bite anyone and asked for scritches (that's Austin BTW, not the vet. Just to be clear!) Big smiles all round ... well except for the sulky tuxie!
Thanks to everyone, both here and on facebook who were so kind with their purrs and prayers. I was a basket case for some reason, more so than last time he had this done. Hopefully he won't have to have any more procedures in the foreseeable and his teeth will last as long as he does.
=^..^=
I'm sure his highness will forgive you eventually ;) Glad it went well xx
ReplyDeleteWow, lucky you Austin, you didn't have to have your teeth pulled. You should be excited. Hope this solves your problem. Take care.
ReplyDeleteGreat news and Austin you take it easy and get back to your good old self soon. Sending healing vibes and POTP. Have a terrific Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
Well so happy Austin kept his "choppers" and the surgery went well. Poor guy...the cold shoulder is a small price to pay for good health I say! Give him a high five from his pal Sammy will you???
ReplyDeleteHugs, Sammy
That is really good news. Now we hope that shoulder warms up soon!
ReplyDeletePaws up for a successful procedure! Although I can't blame Austin for being sulky.
ReplyDeleteYay! We like good news

ReplyDeleteWe're so glad all went well!
It's stressful to take your furries into the vet. Glad it went really well!
ReplyDeleteSo happy Austin did well. I didn't see this. I have not been keeping up as well as usual.. :) Austin won't be giving you the cold shoulder long. I hope.. :)
ReplyDeleteAustin, I truly worried about you and I purred and prayed for you, me and mom. Thank heavens you are alright, Be nice to mommy. She gave you a wonderful thing. No pain. xoxoxoxox
ReplyDeleteOoo! The Cat-Grudge! Always a bit frigid:)
ReplyDeleteAustin, we're so glad your surgery went well...though you are understandably ticked off...but at least you got to keep all your teefs! :)
ReplyDeleteOh Austin, Pal, Buddy'o'mine! Sheesh--we know a thing or two about Human Basket Cases, don't we? Mine too, my friend, mine too. I am still punishing her and probably will for several more days--I have a LOT of fury to work out. I hope your mouf is feeling better--milk it for all its worth and don't go being too forgiving, either. Maybe by the weekend, we'll be up for a pint at the pub, eh?
ReplyDeleteMost excellent report. Couldn't ask for better. We don't blame you; however, for turning your back on your human. Have a great week. Mau says he hopes to see you at Campfire. XO, Lily Olivia. Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
ReplyDeleteMawawahahhahaaa love it Austin. So glad youz all well. We have mizzed you. We have been AWOL for age'z and found it hard to write a post again butt just like you, we dived in :) xxoxx

Haha! That baleful look from inside the carrier...oh, I would have just buckled under and cried. Moses sends happy high fives to you, Austin!
ReplyDeleteWe hope Austin will be lesion free from now on.
ReplyDeleteLuv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
Yea!! Austin you came through with flying colors. But I will keep a low rumble going for you the next couple of days
ReplyDeleteWhen they are ill it is a nightmare. I trust MasterB's vet implicitly, but when he or Freddy has come home after surgery, I am an anxious nurse. I am glad Austin has kept his teeth. Someone was saying the other day how their cat has had nearly all his teeth removed due to gum infections. Poor wee thing.
ReplyDeleteWith that expression in the carrier you should have been splattered on the nearest wall! Glad it turned out so well.
ReplyDeleteAustin, we are so glad it all went well. We think it will be okay to furr-give your Mummy in a day or two (mol). She was only thinking of you, after all. Anyway, if you would care to pop over for a convalescent holiday here in sunny Israel, we would be effur so glad to see you.
ReplyDeleteWe're so happy to hear that everything went well and that you didn't lose any toofs!!! We're amazed that you managed to guess Sammy's Tuesday Teaser while at the VET....you're pawsome!!!
ReplyDeleteThe Florida Furkids
Yay, glad to read good news, even if you fell in a trap ! Maybe your V-E-T wanted some scritches too, after all... Purrs
ReplyDeleteI never heard of that procedure for stomatitis or whatever it’s called. I hope it words and you don’t have to ever go back. Sending healing purrz. About a month of the back of disrespect should suffice.
ReplyDeleteA toothsome result. Meaning I like Austin whether back to front or vice verse. In other words, wonderful.
ReplyDeleteA little cold shoulder was worth the good result. You have a great vet!
ReplyDeleteSo glad it went well!!!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to hear Austin's side of it tho!! LOL
I hope he is done with that kind of surgery now!!!
Poor Austin!!
Dear Austin, we're very glad things turned out okay at the vet! We are glad to see you "rubbing it in" with the staff - it is your duty as a self-respecting cat to express your displeasure!
ReplyDeleteI am glad everything turned out alright.
ReplyDeleteSue B
I am so sorry that I didn't know. Glad all went well!
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better tonight buddy. I was peacefully resting on the window sill and the Human got out the flashy box to take a "cute" overhead shot and then she dropped the camera on me. I am UTB now.
ReplyDeleteThat's great News,feel better mate,xx Speedy
