Narrow Escape!

Terribly sorry! Just been for a short walk!

Right, I’m coming!

Hang on! I’ve got half the number legs you have!!!

*Puff puff* I’m moving!

*Wheeze* Right behind you!

?

Ok Austin. Now you’re pulling my chain! Is this your way of telling me I need to go a on a diet?

I have to laugh at him sometimes … well quite often actually! He doesn’t mind at all when he sees me coming and going in the car, but when I go for a short walk up the road, he doesn’t like it at all. He follows close behind, meowing and generally moaning until he thinks I’ve gone far enough. Then he either sits and waits for me to return, or he hops into a neighbour’s strategically placed bush (still meowing) and I retrieve him on the way back!

PeeEss He probably wanted to show me his morning tally of dead things!

  1. Austin is an adventurous wanderer... it must be the secret to his slim build. Don't go too far, Austin!
    Happy World Cat Day!

  2. Growing up I had a paper route. My kitty would follow me on two of the three legs of it because it was with in his considered range of territory. but once I went past a certain house on the third leg he'd meow at me and turn around and wander off.. it was really sweet.

So did Austin meow at you after going under the fence?

  3. Connie, he didn’t meow. I think he’d quite frightened himself. But he does keep his stash back there! It’s so sweet what they do!

  4. That is so much fun to have a cat that sorta goes for walks with you. I had one a long time ago that always went walking with me. Good boy Austin. Don't let that Mom get out of site.

  6. This post reminded me of the many, many times I walked 2 sibling golden retrievers who lived with a cat who accompanied us on lots of walks. His name was Papi and he sometimes walked the whole way with us and sometimes he just stopped wherever he pleased and then met us later on at home for his treats! Funny post!

  7. Fun post! I haven't had a cat in my life in a while. Discovered I was allergic with the last one, a Siamese. So I love enjoying cats online :)

  8. I had no idea that cats would go for walks with you. I'm pretty lucky,,,on our morning walks, Joke Daddy considers the walk,,,MY WALK,,,so he lets me pretty much decide where I want to go.

  13. Austin, you're funny, daring your human to squeeze under there.

  14. Maybe Austin thinks you are going off to catch your own dead things... and you aren't sharing.

  15. So, Aunty Caro, did you or did you not squeeze under there? har har har *evil laughs*

  16. Could you lead us on a secret tour of your stash, my good man? You know how to use that camera, right? Just steal it from your Mom and show us the insider's view!

  17. That's so adorable! When Boomer was still allowed to wander, he won't ever allow me to follow him. If he saw me trying, he would turn back and sit by the side of the road.

  18. Alfie dose that..follows me up the road but I end up having to take him back home as where we live.. a main road is close by and really dangerous..
Have a great day Austin :) xx

  19. Austin, are you sure you're not pretending to be an exercise coach?

  20. Austin... you little devil, what a mischievous one you are... and so silly to give away your secret entrances and exits...

  21. I'd like to know what's behind that fence! I often wonder where Odin goes and tempted to get a kitty cam. They have secret lives we can only imagine.

  25. It is really smart of you to keep a sharp eye out on your Human, Austin, just in case she went and had some treats that she didn't bring back to share with you.

  26. We love to go out for a walk too - we find roofs are the best cos our human can't climb up there and has to stay at home!
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx

  27. MOL! Austin really likes to keep tabs on you! I wonder what you'd find in that hidey place if you could just squeeze under there.

  28. Isn't that funny ? Arthur does exactly the same and when I go to my neighbor he sits at the door and meows ! Or he looks through the windos !

  29. OMD! Had I been Austin's care person, I'm pretty sure seeing him enter a big drum of water or a man hole even would still make me feel like I needed a diet. LOL.

Have a great weekend Caro. I'm not sure I responded to your mail but I hope I did.

    Huggies and Cheese,
