The neighbours are leaving!

The neighbours are leaving.
They are packing their car.

I really do hope,
They don't go very far.

I like them a lot.
They let me go in.

And sometimes, mum thinks,
they open a tin!

Please come back soon.
I'll be waiting right here;

But it might be good....

If you provided a chair!

=^,,^=

This week the cat blogosphere lost one of its most beloved and long serving members. We are sad because Sparkle the Designer Cat who was a part of all our lives has lost her battle with illness. So much has been said already, that I don't need to say anymore. But we appreciated that Sparkle was always one of the first to visit and comment in her own inimitable way whenever a blog post went up. So in honour of her and her huge contribution to the wellbeing of kitties everywhere, we dedicate our word of the day.

Sparkle - a glittering and shining light that will be missed from all our lives

  1. Such a cute post Austin, but I agree...they could have at least given you a chair!

And I love your word of the day. I know we all must go eventually, but it is still a sad occasion. We're sending all our purrs to Sparkle to make her last days happy ones.

  13. Austin this is a darling post with you observing the neighbors on your back legs.

I did not know Sparkle until the day the post was written about Sparkle going to the vet. I later read that Sparkle did not come home. So sad. Those are some very sweet thoughtful words for Sparkle and a most appropriate word of the day with definition.

  29. Gosh Austin I do think it's sad you're losing your next-door snack bar (haha) but you really DO need a chair in that corner. Maybe they WILL leave you one as a parting gift? Speaking of partings, it was a sad one losing Sparkle - she will shine in our hearts forever though.
