Some deviations!

There is fighting among the nations

There's plenty of precipitations

I've eaten a few crustaceans

Which upset my aberrations.

Was planning the next vacations

which gave me palpatations

and triggered complications

with the ultimate destinations.

There were fetid infestations

which caused some irritations

that led to vaccinations

and some painful tribulations.

I lost my concentrations

when observing some relations

and got my correlations

stuck up my permutations!

No need for perturbations

I've taken my medications

It's Disney's darned Dalmatians

that's caused my ruminations! 

Yep! I watched Disney's 101 Dalmatians!

I didn't know there were that many spots dogs in the whole wide world!!

There are quite a few of my blogosphere pals who have been very sick and hurt and suffering lots over the holidays. Hi everyone! We have received so many cards both by snail mail and email that we thought we should show as many as we can on here. We've also received animated cards and smilebox greetings which we can't show here :(.

We would also like to thank the gazillions of you in the Cat Blogosphere who are showering yours truly (and each other) with electronic Christmas cards. Because there are already so many, we have struggled for hours quickly put together a slideshow with appropriate music for you to sit back and enjoy!

Yesterday I forgot to display my Christmas e-card! Well, you know who actually forgot! Yep! The hairless biped! I am convinced that having fur automatically increases one's IQ by 100%. I think it's probably too late, though! Dilapidation and decay have taken hold! No fur transplant is going to help now! Anyway, here is my card. The FURocious Purr Selfie!

Hi Everybuddy! This is my furry first attempt at a purr selfie. What has been lost in picture definition is made up for in purr sound quality!! You will, of course, understand that picture quality is not paramount in an audio clip, but I have my standards! I need longer paws.

Here I am thinking deep thoughts and surveying my catdom. 

The picture was done on the piZap app using one of the elebenty gazillion filter effects. The Staff has no idea which one, because by the time she settled on one, she'd forgotten what she was supposed to be doing anyway!! However, it looks very colourful, like the sun is reflecting through a prism. Of course, it doesn't do anything to enhance my already purrfect tuxie bod! Just kidding ;)

Way, way back in 1605, on the 5th November, this geezer Guy Fawkes and some mates were caught in the cellars of the Houses of Parliament in London with several dozen barrels of gunpowder. It seems they were rather peeved because the King, James 1st, was Protestant when they wanted a Catholic king. They thought they would blow up parliament to make their point. Do you know? Things haven't really changed that much! People are still trying to kill each other all over the place :(

Guy Fawkes was subsequently tried as a traitor with his co-conspirators for plotting against the government. He was tried in London by a Judge Popham. He was sentenced to death and the form of the execution was one of the most horrendous ever practised (hung, drawn and quartered) which reflected the serious nature of the crime of treason.

What really, really gets my goat here is that ever since then, on and around 5th November, people have bonfires and let off really really noisy fireworks at all hours of the night. Some of them even burn effigies of Guy Fawkes, though that was more when The Staff was a little girl, in, like, 1606! 

Between you and me, I spend an awful lot of time UTB this time of year!
