The Big Softy!

I don't know how I am supposed to retain my street cred with videos like this! But this is how I practice my world renowned shiatsu technique without any blood-letting - "SHE" wouldn't let me post anything with blood in it! If you want to hear the famed Austin megapurr, you'll need the volume up a bit more than usual!

If you can't see it above, you can watch the video on YouTube here

My furs are a bit dishabille because I'd just been out on patrol and hadn't had time to spruce myself up. The Staff likes to think I am gazing adoringly into her eyes, but come on!!!! Would I do that? Nah! I was gazing at myself in the camera lens ;)

Yesterday I was honoured to be featured on Molly the Wally's Share it Sunday. Nellie The Cat (who's not) from Hell nominated me! I chose a post from several years ago, but it's a bit long and rambly (well The Staff did it in those days!) so you don't have to plough through it if you don't want to, but I will be expecting 100% from you all in the quiz later! Anyways you can read it here !
Today sees the demise of Google Reader and if you relied on it to get round blogland, then you are probably not reading this unless you have made alternative arrangements! There has been a lot of discussion about various alternatives (other than email) so if you have a reader you've found that works well, especially on ipad, please could you let The Staff know. It would do me a favour as she's done nothing but moan about it for like forever! Thanks x

dishabille, dish-able (from the French) - can be dished

  5. You're a pawsome biscuit maker!!

Mom is using Feedly, Bloglovin and The Old Reader. She's using something called Feeddler on her iPad. Such confusion!! She's not sure which one she likes yet.

  6. Geez, Austin, what a sappy video. I'm going to choose to believe she drugged you, or found a stunt double, or SUMFING because I really don't want to think of my manly ManCat drinking buddy like this. ::shudder::

  9. You certainly look like you were gazing at your dishabille furs and wondering how on earth you're going to spruce yourself up when your paws are so busy making biscuits? MOL.

  10. Austin that purr was lovely to our ears, you are quite the handsome mancat. Mom said she is going between Feedly and Bloglovin on her iPad. But she said Flipboard and Pulse were two others that offered importing. If you import your GR on your desktop or laptop then you can set up account online and of course then access them on the iPad. Feedly seems to be doing close to what GR did. Mom had an app on her iPad simply called Reeder and it was great but it only accessed GR, so she is sad to see that go. Feedly is just a bit different, but Mom will get the hang of it. Thank you for coming by and wishing Happy Purrdays wishes to me today.

  13. Love the megapurr. So cute! I'd love to reach through the screen and cuddle you, Austin. :)

I'm using Feedly but still haven't decided if I like it. I just haven't had the motivation to try the others though, I am so lazy.

  15. It's okay Austin, I know your mum forced you into behaving like that for the camera with the threat of no food if you didn't comply.
We are trying Old Reader. Actually we are still using google reader today. The notice said it would finish after July 1st, so presumably it will be gone tomorrow.

  18. My human has a video of me similar to this one, but so far I have forbidden her to post it! Only difference is I remembered to NOT look at the camera.

  19. i heard your purrz and read your post on Molly the Wally's blog. Was your staff under that nice wooly blanket? When I do my visiting. I start by commenting on those who comment on my blog that day and then go down the blogs on my sidebar. I never used GR and probably won't rely too much on Bloglovin' since we get their e-mails at bedtime.

  21. I think your Mom has mistaken what seems to be a pouncing practice to beat the daylights of evil angry birds an "Awww, Austin's doing his cute Youtube-worthy video moments."

Dishabille... the only time I've read such term is when reading love stories from the likes of Mary Jo Putney.

Also, we have been using Feedly instead of Google Reader and it's been all right :)

  31. I thinks that perhaps your "rep" may have just gone out the window. But have no fear, you are a most excellent "biscuit-maker"! We really enjoyed that video and thought perhaps you may have been gazing adoringly at us...

  32. Oh no, Austin! That video is just dreadful and surely your human has done some special effects editing... Purrs from the Zee and Zoey gang!

  33. I dunno--everybody seems to think I am all marshmallowy now--but YOU know better, don't you, Buddy? It's all just part of the plan....

  34. Austin that is some serious biskit makin' and a very lovely purr. I have an app on my iPhone to snooze by and the one I choose is a kitty purring. I use Feedly to read blogger blogs or any other kind of stuff. Works great!

  35. Puddings :-) Keep your head down Austin and make the patch wet LOL Hugs Henry x

  36. My cats try to knead my like that sometimes! I enjoyed reading your post on Molly's. My cats like cuddles when they want them and get annoyed with the bipeds if the bipeds won't sit down.

  39. That's an interesting technique: the non-parallel paw which Austin has mastered. He's also telling you what happened in the garden.

  40. Austin, don't worry....your reputation is safe with us. You know, you could have been purring to get your frustrations out. It could happen. ; )

RIP Google Reader. We're signed up for Bloglovin and can't figure out Feedly. So we're relying on many of the blogs we've subscribed to by email, and as scary as it sounds...our own memory! haha!

  41. Hey! Why don't you drop over for a burger and a brew, Buddy? We can forget all about that whole revolution thing, eh?

  42. Hello dear friends. We want to thank you so very much for your kind words of comfort and friendship after our very sudden loss of Thunder. We are all still very sad, but the support and love from all of our friends from all over the world is helping to heal our broken hearts. We are sure that Thunder Dunder is now in a very happy place and also very thankful to have so many wonderful friends.
