Many, in the pet blogging world, will have heard of the talented kitten called Quint who is one of the Colehaus Cats. At a very young age, much to the surprise of his human Mom and Dad, he showed an interest in making marks and patterns with his paw! I think the best thing to do is let you read his story for yourselves - if you haven't already. Part One can be found here and then you can follow the links to parts two and three. Here is a short quote from his story:
It began when he discovered specks of fresh toothpaste on a bathroom mirror. Those specks were fascinating. He didn’t pounce and try to capture the specks; choosing instead to smear them around the glass. With his oversized paws and close proximity to the sink facet, soon we found it necessary to wipe down his “canvas” every day just so we could see ourselves….
You need to read the rest for yourselves! Remember he was, and still is, a kitten!
Well, I was so enamoured I decided (that's me the Staff person!) that I should buy a small one for Austin :) So I did. And here it is:
His style is Impressionistic Pawism
And here is the artist
The artist at work!
Austin was very excited
In fact he cast his professional eye (nose!) over every inch
Austin was so enthusiastic that he begged me to video him hamming it up displaying his expert knowledge as an art critic (and his handsome tux)!
If you can't view the video you can look on YouTube here. The music is Billets Doux by Django Reinhardt.

acrylic, a-cry+lick - what happens when a big heavy biped steps on a small furry feline
To remind Austin what he got up to we need to go and visit Nellie. She gives the full unexpurgated account. I think there is no argument about his ability to show a girl a good time, though. What do you think? ;) Click here for the full account ;)
Perhaps you need a powder old chap! Anyway it looks like he had a great time!!
lee-mee-alone!
Austin is now in the recovery position

expurgate, ex-purr-gate - a feline who survived the notorious purrgate scandal of 2013 which took place in a pub in Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch and involved exposed tongues and much intertwining of whiskers.
Sometimes on Facebook I put a photo of the cloud formation for the day. Today I thought to put it here as the light was particularly good! This is the view from my window and I always feel very blessed that I have such a view. Every day is different. Today you can't really see the mountains as they are hidden under the clouds, but on the days you can see the mountains, usually the light is not so good! As you can see, I took the photo into the sun and the result is quite interesting! You can catch a glimpse of the water through the trees.
Anyway, on to other things. I had to take Austin back to the v-e-t to have his mouth looked at again to see whether he could/should have some more work done. The v-e-t was actually quite pleased with him, but there are still lesions on one side. However, he says that one more go at it should help a lot and hopefully see the inflammation off completely. We are keeping our paws crossed!
Before all this, Austin is off to trip the light fantastic with Sassy, Nellie and some other ladycats at the Valentine's Ball. You can get a glimpse of him in action over at Nellie's. Just click here and check out the video!!! ;)
PS from the Staff. Austin is always nagging requesting that we go to visit all our lovely blogging friends every minute of every day, but as there are so many super interesting blogs now, he sometimes gets waylaid and has to be dragged away kicking and screaming to do much less interesting things like eating and napping. So if we don't always leave a comment, it's not because we don't love and appreciate every single one of you, but that real life sometimes gets in the way .. and don't forget Austin has to get all his beauty sleep and build his strength up so he is ready for THE VALENTINE'S BALL next week!!!! xx
Hi it's Austin here. We have for your delectation today a mishmash (VBP) .. a miscellany (VBP).. a hodgepodge (VBP) of unrelated items.
First, for those of you who were curious to know and who didn't guess, the box that I was snoopervising held a TV! But of course as soon as the box was empty, I feigned (VBP) loss of interest and wandered off, so there are no cute pics of me sitting watching it or even sitting in the box. Hehe!
Second, I was napping and minding my own business this morning when I was brutally and randomly attacked!! It was horrible and quite unnerving. I had just got to the point in my dream when I was about to fillet the giant tuna when I was approached from the rear and deliberately gunked in the neck. Apart from anything else it is so demeaning! Now my appearance is that of a greasy punk with a dodgy mullet hair cut!
Third, despite my dishevelled appearance, you will all be thrilled to know that I have a date to the Valentine's Day Ball. What Valentine's Ball you may ask? Well this Valentine's Ball! Oh yes!
The sweet Sassy from Troublin Times has begged agreed to accompany me. She and I have our outfits sorted and are ready to trip the light fantastic (whatever that means?). If you haven't got your tickets or can't find a date then you need to get your skates on before the ice melts! The hosts are Mollie and Ranger. It's going to be a blast, especially as Nellie who is (not) the Cat from Hell has promised me a dance :) So, in order to prepare myself, I have been paying careful attention to my personal hygiene and imbibing illegal substances!
This week we are again participating in the Vocabulary Building Project (VBP). To see more about it please click on the badge below

dishevel, dish-evil (alternate) = the evil that is dished out to a catchap approximately once a month on the back of his neck which makes him look like a gunked punk with a bad mullet
