The Creative Cat - goodies from over the pond!

We at CATachresis are huge fans of the work of Bernadette Kazmarski. She is a very talented artist and I am often to be found having a stroll through her website or Etsy shop. After many months of window shopping I fell in love with a particular painting, so decided to put in an order for a print and also some other items. A couple of weeks ago the package arrived. Austin was very intrigued:

A great deal of inspecting was necessary

there was definitely a certain whiff about it!

"Can you tell me why I detect strange kitty odour?"

"Ah! this is more like it…..

….this I understand….

…though I'm having a bit of trouble as….

…..it's rather a snug fit!"

Ed's note: I suspect he wants a closer whiff of the tantalising eau de kitty!

After much effort….
… it became all too much!"

You might remember the video of this:

ANYWAY...

...This is what we got :)

And here is a close up of the picture that I particularly love ❤
Isn't it great!

Austin and I can highly recommend you go take a look at Bernadette's work both at The Creative Cat and also Portraits of Animals where you can see some of her beautiful commissioned paintings as well as her Etsy shop.

  7. Wow, Austin buddy, what a load of loot! But, sorry, I think you need a bigger box, MOL! C'mon by for a brewski anytime!

  9. Every package has something for the humans and something for the kitties! While I carefully package and write notes to my human customers, my fine felines have the bigger responsibility of sending message to the kitties in the recipient households in the timeless feline manner--by first occupying the box, then by giving a face rub to each item to be packed inside.

But I must betray a fact--Mimi was particularly intrigued with this whole package, rubbing her face on everything, and I actually caught her trying to fit herself into the box before I sealed it shut! Hmmmm...does some kitty simply want to travel, or does she have an interest in a certain handsome tuxedo cat? Time will tell...

  14. It is the emptiness dialectic, you see. I get in the box -- fullness. I get out of the box -- emptiness. This is a profound thing. We cats understand it. Philosophers are born not made.

Thank you for inspiring this insight, Austin and Bugs. I think this needs our own separate post.

Austin, you may want to Lodge a Complaint against the inappropriate box size.

  25. It's got TW's approval but not mine cos there are no cat toys plus the box is inadequate. You have my sympathy Austin but I'm sure I'll have yours on Wednesday.
