We at CATachresis are huge fans of the work of Bernadette Kazmarski. She is a very talented artist and I am often to be found having a stroll through her website or Etsy shop. After many months of window shopping I fell in love with a particular painting, so decided to put in an order for a print and also some other items. A couple of weeks ago the package arrived. Austin was very intrigued:
A great deal of inspecting was necessary
there was definitely a certain whiff about it!
"Can you tell me why I detect strange kitty odour?"
"Ah! this is more like it…..
….this I understand….
…though I'm having a bit of trouble as….
…..it's rather a snug fit!"
Ed's note: I suspect he wants a closer whiff of the tantalising eau de kitty!
After much effort….
… it became all too much!"
You might remember the video of this:
ANYWAY...
...This is what we got :)
And here is a close up of the picture that I particularly love ❤
Isn't it great!
Austin and I can highly recommend you go take a look at Bernadette's work both at The Creative Cat and also Portraits of Animals where you can see some of her beautiful commissioned paintings as well as her Etsy shop.

What is it with cats and boxes? What a delight they are!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the video again and the music with it and Austin.
ReplyDeleteWHAT a wonderful lot of things you got, the two of you. I shall head right over there and have a look.
Thats a very nice box you have there Austin. Check out Callie's Friday Song this week. I made her fix it to fit you!
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Sassy
My human and I are also fans of Bernadette's work. You got some really cool stuff - and that print is lovely!
ReplyDeleteWow, that is a cool print! But seriously, we are more intrigued by the box as well. :)
ReplyDeleteWow, Austin buddy, what a load of loot! But, sorry, I think you need a bigger box, MOL! C'mon by for a brewski anytime!
ReplyDeleteP.S. The Human loves that picture of the two kittehs.
So so beautiful cat art!!
ReplyDeleteAustin! Wow! Me is in love with your box and paper moves and the picture is exquisite!

Every package has something for the humans and something for the kitties! While I carefully package and write notes to my human customers, my fine felines have the bigger responsibility of sending message to the kitties in the recipient households in the timeless feline manner--by first occupying the box, then by giving a face rub to each item to be packed inside.
ReplyDeleteBut I must betray a fact--Mimi was particularly intrigued with this whole package, rubbing her face on everything, and I actually caught her trying to fit herself into the box before I sealed it shut! Hmmmm...does some kitty simply want to travel, or does she have an interest in a certain handsome tuxedo cat? Time will tell...
Great investigating Austin! The picture is beautiful, I love it! I remember seeing some of that stuff on Texas' blog awhile back - very cute. Looks like a fun little shopping spree :)
ReplyDeleteAustin that was funny, the box was a bit small for you..MOL love love the painting, fantastic. Have a wonderful Sunday xx00xx
ReplyDeleteMollie and Alfie
I can definitely see how you fell in love with that painting, just beautiful! All of your other items are gorgeous too! That was quite kind of you to order all of that!
ReplyDeleteI love Bernadette's work! I like your choices.
ReplyDeleteIt is the emptiness dialectic, you see. I get in the box -- fullness. I get out of the box -- emptiness. This is a profound thing. We cats understand it. Philosophers are born not made.

Thank you for inspiring this insight, Austin and Bugs. I think this needs our own separate post.

That is a whole bunch of good goodies!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDeleteAustin, you may want to Lodge a Complaint against the inappropriate box size.
That box must have shrunk Austin - we're sure it was twice the size when it arrived.
ReplyDeleteLuv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
Oh my what a lovely box of treasures, to be sure!!! Something for both cat and human to enjoy each in their own special way!
ReplyDelete:)
Boxes and paper are the best part! Those pictures are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSue B
We think she should have ordered more so you got a bigger box! That print is adorable.
ReplyDeletePrecious painting, great and the good with the extra box that Mr.Austin was used to maximum . Merlina
ReplyDeleteBernadette is a friend and her cats personally inspect all boxes adding their scent stamp of approval. Maybe Austin got a secret message!

ReplyDeleteHi, Austin!
Austin you got the box and your Mom got a beautiful beautiful piece of art.
ReplyDeleteIt's got TW's approval but not mine cos there are no cat toys plus the box is inadequate. You have my sympathy Austin but I'm sure I'll have yours on Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteAustin, tell your staff that I love the painting too. It is so vibrant, so alive and so CAT. Great choice. Paula
ReplyDeleteHi Buddy, Well, all our excitement is over now and we're back to just same-old, same-old. I'll be over for a quick pub visit later this week, okay?
ReplyDeleteCats always seem to like the box more than what's in it! LOL.
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful painting :)
Austin keep trying whenever there are those smaller boxes it just requires some maneuvering before it adjusts to fits us.
ReplyDeleteThat's such a beautiful painting:-)
ReplyDeletePs love the box action!
oh, we love her work too! After the Floor Saga came to and end this past week, Mom finally was able to hang two of Bernadette's pieces:a photo and a painting. We LOVE them!
ReplyDeleteMom loves her work as well. Looks like you got a lot of great stuff along with the beautiful painting. Lucky you! Purrs and hugs from the kitties at The Cat on My Head, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette
