Sunday Selfie and poem!

The humans really do their best.
But when it comes to where we rest,
They think that we should lie atop,
And not below and be a mop.

Here she comes, all of a fluster,
Mumbling that I've become a duster.
But I assure that I'm ok
and under here is where I'll stay.

There is a reason that I'm here
And it's not because I'm feeling queer.
Or that I am lacking vigour,
But, in fact, I'm dodging Tigger!

He eats my food and takes my bed
He worms his way into my head.
He's like a parasite, my mate,
He's only here to irritate.

So until that day when he is gone,
Or, heaven forfend, he cottons on!
That I am here below the chair
Waiting for him to disappear...

I shall be very calm and quiet and still,
And do my best to not be shrill.
But if he sees me down here nestling,
We shall indulge in some all-in-wrestling.

The jury's out on who'll be victor.
Tigger's big, but I am quicker!
The time has come to end this rubbish,
So point the mouse and click on "publish"!

For better or for worse we are joining in the Sunday Selfie blog hop today, hosted by Kitties Blue. Click on the image below to check out the others :)

parasite -  an organism (Tigger) which lives in or on another organism (its unwilling host, me!) and benefits by deriving nutrients at the other's expense (Yep!)

  27. If you feel safe beneath that chair
We think you should just move in there
    Your parasite is sitting near
Waiting for you to think the way is clear
Suggest you stay where you are hidden
    Where parasites are strictly forbidden!

Austin, get your Mom to get you a cell phone of your own so you can call for "take-out" to be delivered to your mancave......you may be in there for a while! Good luck buddy.......wish I could help you out! (literally)

    Hugs, Sammy
