Yep the boy is 5. To be honest we don’t actually know when he was born, but when we went to collect him from the RSPCA all those years ago, they decided May 1st was as good a date as any! So, like the Queen, he has an official birthday :)

That sweet kitty sitting on the “climb and hide lookout” is not Austin!! The saga of the present opening and inspection by his lordship is for another day .. after I’ve had a long lie down and a few of my prescription meds. I hope that is ok?
Meanwhile, I think there is a beano over at Domino’s (Cat Wisdom 101) as it is also his birthday today :) Catnip and caviar! What more does a cat need? Except maybe salmon ;)

Happy Birthday Austin. What a cool pressie. When I was adopted, they wrote my birthday as May 1st too but I don't celebrate it. On my last vet visit, they changed it to Sept 8. Go figure.
